Description
The wine is straw green in colour with golden highlights. It is crystal clear and fairly viscous.
The bouquet is fairly intense and persistent, refined. Herbal notes are most prominent, supported by some fruit and floral aromas. Dried camomile blossom, lemon flower, grapefruit and lychee are to the fore. The nose is fairly rich.
On the palate, the wine is dry, moderately warm, very flavourful and fresh.
Its freshness and minerality stand out, giving the wine backbone. It is well balanced, with considerable body. Harmonious and fully mature.
For food pairing, the focus should be on cold starters, for example prosciutto from the Vipava Valley or octopus salad with cherry tomatoes and pine nuts.
