Description
The wine is pale pink with a cherry hue, fairly viscous and crystal clear.
The bouquet is quite intense and fairly persistent, very refined, with ripe fruit and berry aromas dominating. Notes of strawberry jam, preserved cherries, forest fruits, redcurrant and ripe raspberry are perceptible. The nose is quite rich.
On the palate, the wine is warm, flavourful and dry, with a pleasant freshness. It is full-bodied, with its hard side (freshness, flavour) slightly to the fore.
Best enjoyed on warm summer evenings, well chilled and in good company with food. Suggested pairings include tuna tartare with fior di cappero, butter with fleur de sel or risotto with prawns and courgettes.
